Practices are:  Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6:00pm-7:45pm
All games are on Saturdays beginning in August

BELLEVUE STEELERS


FOOTBALL EQUIPMENT CHECKLIST

"Full-pads" practices begin after the THIRD practice. 

The following equipment will be necessary.

______1.  NOCSAE youth approved football helmet(BLACK*)
______2.  Padded chinstrap for helmet.
______3.  Black or Gold mouthpiece.  Buy at least 2.  They cannot play without one.
______4.  Shoulder pads.
______5.  Football practice pants(any color).  NO GAME PANTS FOR PRACTICES.**
______6.  Knee pads, thigh pads, hip pads, and tailbone pads. (Usually sold in same package).
______7.  Black socks for games.
______8.  Football cleats.
______9.  Tight fitting under shirt to be worn under shoulder pads.

 

OPTIONAL EQUIPMENT

______10.  Neck pad.
______11.  Rib pads.
______12.  Wrist bands.
______13.  Hand pads or gloves.
______14.  Forearm pads.
______15.  Jock strap/cup.

*If you are unable to purchase a black helmet, the standard white helmet will do, however, it MUST be painted BLACK.  Remove the face mask.  Lightly sand the helmet.  Spray gray enamel primer.  Let dry.  Spray 2-3 coats of gloss BLACK Krylon spray paint.  Let dry for 48 hours.

** If you come to practice in "game" pants you WILL be sent home.  These pants are very expensive and are to be worn for games only.

CHEERLEADING

Sign-Ups will be every Saturday in July from 10am-2pm at the Bellevue Middle School Football Field located at 655 Colice-Jeanne Road, Nashville, TN, 37221.
